Documents and appeals

Released records and drafted appeals, both kept against the request.

Documents an agency releases are attached to the request they answer, so you can find them later without searching through old email.

If an agency denies a request or lets the deadline pass without answering, FOIAGen drafts an appeal the moment it is due. You review it and decide whether to send it.

FOIAGen does not promise that an appeal will succeed or that records will be released: the outcome is the agency's decision. FOIAGen's job is to keep the paperwork and the clock in order.
