Preview terms: this is a working draft that may change before FOIAGen's general launch. This page explains who can see a request, what we store, and what we never do without your click.

Who can see a request

Admins see every request; a member sees the requests they created and the ones assigned to them. We don't share your drafts, correspondence or documents with anyone outside your account. FOIAGen never sends a request without your explicit click to send โ€” every message in your history reflects a click you made, not an action we took on our own. FOIAGen never sends a request without the user's explicit send.

What we store and why

We keep your drafts, sent requests, agency replies, deadlines and documents so you have a complete, evidence-grade history of each request. We use cookies to keep you signed in and to understand which pages are useful, in plain, limited ways. We don't sell your data, and a message sent through our Contact form never adds you to a mailing list.

Your choices

You can ask us to export or delete your account's data at any time by writing to us through Help. Cancelling your plan stops billing but doesn't erase your request history unless you ask us to remove it.

Questions about this policy

If anything here is unclear, write to the FOIAGen team through our Contact form on the Help page and we'll answer in plain language โ€” no legal jargon, no runaround.
